FC BATE Borisov 2008-09 Champions League kits

Belarus clubs FC BATE Borisov (Borisov Works of Automobile and Tractor Electronic Equipment) from the Borisov city playing in Belarusian Premier League. BATE are the reigning champions. They also currently compete in UEFA Champions League 2008-09 on Group H with Real Madrid, Juventus and Zenit. BATE home stadium is the Borisov City Stadium with capacity 5,500. BATE was founded in 1973 and re-established in 1996. Viktor Mikhailovich Goncharenko is a Belarusian football coach who is currently head manager of FC BATE. Under Goncharenko's leadership, BATE in 2008 became the first club from Belarus to qualify for the lucrative group stages of the UEFA Champions League after they defeated PFC Levski Sofia 2-1 on aggregate.



Kits by Adidas, BATE home shirt has a yellow base colour and blue as secondary colour. The collar is round and yellow. Being Adidas, it has three stripes going down the sleeves in blue while Adidas logo is in on the right chest. The BATE badge is on the left when worn. Under the arms, there is a curved stripe mainly in blue going down to the end of the BATE shirts. The stripe continues at the back of the shirt and is connected to the underarm end of the front stripe. At the back, the stripe gets thinner and forms a U-shape. BATE shirts will be worn with blue shorts (for alternative with yellow shorts) and the yellow socks is completed with the adidas logo.
